The lyrics of Jerusalem – updated for Brexit

We have been sent these excellent alternative lyrics to Blake’s hymn Jerusalem by an anonymous supporter. Especially given recent developments, they are particularly pertinent at the moment:-

And did those men in ancient time
Fight for our rights and liberty
And with belief and blood divine
They set laws that made us free

And yet a countenance malign
Did seek to steal those rights away
And turn us back to slaves again
Ruled by their evil empires sway

Give me my country back again
Bring back the land my fathers made
I strive for justice, not for gain
To see our people proud and staid

I will not cease this endless fight
Nor shall my sword fall from my hand
Til we’ve restored our liberty
In Britain’s green and pleasant land

THIS IS A WONDERFUL UP-DATED AND FAR MORE RELEVANT LYRIC. I HAVE SHARED IT WITH EVERYONE I KNOW. IF ALL RECIPIENT’S DID LIKEWISE, IT JUST MIGHT, BE HEARD AT LAST NIGHT OF THE PROMS. HOW APPROPRIATE, AND ONE IN THE EYE FOR THE EU LOVING BBC.

It is a nice attempt at a decent and proper National Anthem, certainly an improvement over the current one.
As for giving money, we have UKIP that is out there keeping it’s powder dry and about to rise up to demolish those Tory Traitors, with it’s membership rising faster than any time in it’s History. Let us not dilute the Brexit effort by dispersing our activities with alternate designs. UKIP needs more membership, money and a return of membership that deserted to the Tories believing their lies of bringing BREXIT home to the people as their manifesto had promised. Also those UKIP members that returned to Labour believing establishment lies that UKIP had been killed off by the Media and the Tories. Today President Trump has spelt it all out as to how wrong
Teresa May is and has been, regarding Brexit. Also in my personal opinion a traitor to the British people in favour to the foreign interests of the EU.
