With England’s population about 3rd or 4th largest in the world behind the likes of Bangladesh and South Korea, we need to plan our food for the future, preferably without too many imports and the prospect of Britain having a legal right to fish between 12 and 200 miles, (or the median) poses a problem. We only have about 3 or 4 active fishery protection vessels that would be currently impossible to police the vast area. Food, especially fish protein, is becomming more valuable globally. I foresee that fishing vessels from otherr nations, especially European nations, will take advantage of the vast 12 to 200 mile sea area to do their fishing and, on the rare occasion when a foreign vessel is caught illegally there will be a severe confrontation involving warships.

Thankfully Tony the advanced technology has made policing ones zone a lot easier. The Norwegians have it sorted. . You need more vessels, – yes, but not as many as you think, Aircraft play an important contribution now

I agree with Adam. The sooner we get slavish regard for Political Parties the better. They have shown since 1973, that they do not have Britain, or the British People’s interests at heart.
